VOR Navigation & Tracking
You will track to and from a VOR, intercept radials, and navigate a multi-leg VOR route without GPS — the skill that makes you a real instrument pilot.
About this lesson
GPS has made VOR flying a lost art, but the fundamentals of radial tracking build instrument skills nothing else does. Your tutor sets up intercepts and tracking exercises and coaches your OBS, heading, and wind correction in real time.
Why a human tutor? VOR tracking is about building a mental picture from a needle. A tutor translates what the CDI is telling you until you can read it yourself.
