Partial Panel / Failed Instruments
You will maintain controlled flight and fly an approach with failed primary instruments — no attitude indicator, no heading indicator, or both.
About this lesson
When the AI fails in sim, most pilots panic. Your tutor progressively fails instruments during flight and coaches you through the scan transfer, timed turns, and magnetic compass flying that keeps you alive.
Why a human tutor? Partial panel is high-stress and disorienting. A tutor fails instruments at the worst moment and coaches you through the panic.
