- On the MFD, turn the large FMS knob to the NRST (Nearest) page group.
The Nearest page ranks airports by distance from your position — vital in an emergency.
- Direct-To the nearest airport, the top of the list: KHWD, Hayward Executive.
Direct-To gives you an immediate course to the diversion field. North-east of Palo Alto, Hayward at 7.4 nm is nearer than Palo Alto itself at 10.0 nm.
