- Set the altitude bug down to 3,000 ft.
The selected altitude is the floor the GFC 700 will capture.
- Select VS mode, then use NOSE▼ to set −500 fpm.
VS holds the vertical-speed reference you dial until ALT capture.
- Let it descend and capture 3,000 ft.
A steady VS descent that levels cleanly at altitude is the goal.
