Step-by-step: Climb with FLC and capture altitude

  1. Set the altitude bug to 7,000 ft.

This is the altitude the GFC 700 will capture and hold.

  2. Engage the autopilot and select FLC to start the climb.

FLC climbs at an airspeed reference and levels at the selected altitude.

  3. Let it climb — confirm the autopilot captures 7,000 ft (ALT).

ALT capture is automatic once you are within range of the selected altitude.
